Terms & Conditions

1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Subscrify mobile application and this website. By using either, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. Status of the product
Subscrify is in development and has not been released. Features described on this website may change, be delayed, or not ship at all. Nothing on this site is a binding commitment to deliver a particular feature on a particular date.
3. Licence
Subject to these terms, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Subscrify on devices you own or control. You may not resell the app, or remove or alter any notices in it.
4. Cost
There is no paid plan and nothing to purchase inside the app today. If that ever changes, the terms in force at that time will apply, and no change will retroactively charge you for use that has already happened.
5. Your data is yours, and so is looking after it
Subscrify stores your data on your own device and keeps no copy. That has a consequence you should read twice:
- If you lose your device, reset it, or uninstall the app without a backup, your data is gone. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
- If you export an encrypted backup and lose the passphrase, that file cannot be opened — by you, by us, or by anyone. The passphrase is never stored, by design. There is no reset.
- Importing a backup replaces everything currently in the app. The app writes a safety copy of your current data before replacing it, but you should treat an import as irreversible.
Keeping your own backups, and remembering your own passphrases, is your responsibility.
6. What Subscrify is not
Subscrify is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not financial, tax, accounting, credit or legal advice; it is not a payment service; it does not make payments on your behalf; and it does not connect to any bank or card issuer. Every date and amount in the app is one you entered yourself. Always confirm your real balances and due dates with your bank or provider.
7. Reminders are best-effort
Payment reminders are scheduled locally by your operating system, and the operating system decides when to deliver them. Reminders may be delayed by up to roughly an hour, or suppressed entirely by battery optimisation, Do Not Disturb, notification permissions, or a device that is switched off. Subscrify does not guarantee that any reminder will be delivered, and is not liable for a payment you miss.
8. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will preserve your data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, for lost profits, or for missed payments, late fees or interest charges arising from your use of Subscrify.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product develops, and will update the “last updated” date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
The governing law and venue for these terms will be stated here before Subscrify is released, once the publishing entity is confirmed.
12. Contact
A contact address will be published here before Subscrify is released.
